New Faces New Voices-Nigeria holds its official launch May 8

The Nigeria chapter of the nonprofit New Faces New Voices (NFNV) is set to be officially launched on the 8th of May 2017 in the Nigerian capital, Abuja. This was contained in a statement signed by NFNV-Nigeria Country Director Aishatu Debola Aminu and made available to African Newspage.

NFNV is a pan-African NGO founded by Graça Machel, the widow of the Late Nelson Mandela, which is supporting women across the continent in the area of access to finance as well as creating enabling environment for them to do business. NFNV believes women have the potential to deliver a significant contribution to economic growth in Africa.

The event which is themed: “The Role of Women in Recession and Economic Development in Nigeria” will have as guest speaker Tinuola Thompson-Ajayi, a two-time chairperson of the Association of Professional Women Bankers (APWB) of Nigeria and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB).

The launch will be attended by eminent Nigerians of diverse backgrounds including top government functionaries, cabinet ministers, traditional rulers, women entrepreneurs and representatives of international organizations like the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
