Niger’s Diffa region could face Hepatitis E outbreak

Doctors Without Borders is warning that an epidemic of Hepatitis E in Niger may get worse with the imminent rainy season.

The Niger Government insists the situation is under control. But 25 women, all of them pregnant, have died of the liver disease in the Diffa region in the last four months.
